Columnea schiedeana, also known as the goldfish plant, is a beautiful and unique houseplant native to Central America.
- Light: Bright indirect sunlight
- Temperature: a minimum of 18°C in the growing season
- Watering: keep the soil moist but not wet
- Fertilizing: apply a balanced liquid fertilizer at 1/2 of the strength every 2 weeks during active growth
- Humidity: above 65%
- Soil: use a well-draining potting mix; a mix designed for African violets can work well
- Water: normal to moist water range
- Propagation: stem cuttings, leaf cuttings and from seeds
