Pyrrosia lingua native to China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan. It can also be grown as houseplant or outside if temperatures stay above 6°C.

Pyrrosia is a genus comprising approximately 100 fern species within the family Polypodiaceae. These ferns exhibit a fascinating lifestyle: most of them are epiphytic, growing on trees or rocks, while a few species are terrestrial. The genus name, derived from the Greek word pyrrhos (meaning “red”), alludes to the reddish coloration of their leaves, which results from the presence of sporangia.
