Pyrrosia sp Borneo
Pyrrosia sp Borneo native to the island of Borneo in Indonesia. In its natural habitat, this species grows on rocks and wood. In a terrarium it needs an airy soil base to start rooting and establish.
Pyrrosia is a genus comprising approximately 100 fern species within the family Polypodiaceae. These ferns exhibit a fascinating lifestyle: most of them are epiphytic, growing on trees or rocks, while a few species are terrestrial. The genus name, derived from the Greek word pyrrhos (meaning “red”), alludes to the reddish coloration of their leaves, which results from the presence of sporangia.
