Native to Bolivia, Brazil North, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. Grown from cuttings in 5cm pot.

Neea is a genus of plants in the Nyctaginaceae family, native to the Caribbean region, Central, and South America. People commonly refer to members of this genus as Nia, Neea, or saltwood.

  • Light: prefers partial shade to dappled light all year-round and never direct sun
  • Temperature: a minimum of  16°C in the growing season
  • Watering: keep the soil moist, not wet during active growth
  • Fertilizing: apply a balanced liquid fertilizer at 1/2 of the strength every 2 weeks during active growth
  • Humidity: above 70%
  • Soil: very well-drained soil with a pH range of 5 to 7
  • Water: normal to moist water range
  • Propagation: stem cuttings, leaf cuttings and from seeds
