Microgramma heterophylla from Ecuador. This variety has very nice dark nerves in comparison to the normal form.

Microgramma is a genus of ferns that are native to the Caribbean Islands, Central America, and South America.

  • Light: prefer bright, indirect light all year-round and no direct sun
  • Temperature: a minimum of  18°C in winter and 21°C and more in the growing season
  • Watering: keep the soil just moist during active growth and water more sparingly in winter
  • Fertilizing: apply a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2 weeks in spring and summer
  • Humidity: high humidity and regular misting
  • Soil: sandy loam to clay loam soil with a pH range of 5 to 7
  • Water: normal to moist water range
  • Light conditions: partial shade to dappled light
  • Propagation: via spores or stem cuttings
