Triolena ‘Involucrata Red’ is a miniature Melastoma from Ecuador. It grows in shaded, moist places.
Sow these seeds as like you would do for Begonia.
- Light: prefer partial shade to dappled light all year-round and never direct sun
- Temperature: a minimum of 14°C in the growing season
- Watering: keep the soil moist, not wet during active growth
- Fertilizing: apply a balanced liquid fertilizer at 1/4 of the strength every 2 weeks during active growth
- Humidity: above 70%
- Soil: very well-drained soil with a pH range of 5 to 7
- Water: normal to moist water range
- Propagation: stem cuttings, leaf cuttings and from seeds
