Crepidomanes minutum is a widely distributed fern found throughout the Pacific, tropical Asia and parts of Africa.
These ferns have feathery, translucent fronds that are often only one cell thick. They resemble mosses or liverworts and are extremely sensitive to drying out.
Typically small and compact, growing in dense mats or clusters. Some species exist only as gametophytes, reproducing vegetatively without forming full leafy ferns.
Light: prefer bright, indirect light all year-round and no direct sun
Temperature: 18–22°C and more in the growing season
Watering: keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. High humidity is essential for its growth
Fertilizing: use a diluted liquid fertilizer (¼ strength) bi-monthly during active growth
Humidity: very high humidity and regular misting
Soil: needs well-draining soil to prevent root rot like a mix of peat moss, perlite, and sand (PH 5–6)
