Crepidomanes malabaricum

Crepidomanes malabaricum is a delicate fern with translucent fronds that thrives in moist, shaded environments.

These ferns have feathery, translucent fronds that are often only one cell thick. They resemble mosses or liverworts and are extremely sensitive to drying out.

Typically small and compact, growing in dense mats or clusters. Some species exist only as gametophytes, reproducing vegetatively without forming full leafy ferns.

  • Fertilizing: use a diluted liquid fertilizer (¼ strength) bi-monthly during active growth
  • Humidity: very high humidity and regular misting
  • Soil: needs well-draining soil to prevent root rot like a mix of peat moss, perlite, and sand (PH 5–6)
