Lockhartia amoena is found in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama at elevations of 300 to 1800 meters.
It is a perfect terrarium candidate as it doesn’t need high ventilation and loves the humid environment. It also blooms very easily in a terrarium.
- Light: partial shade
- Temperature: a minimum of 14°C
- Watering: epiphyte that loves daily misting
- Fertilizing: feed every 2 weeks from early spring through summer with an orchid fertiliser
- Humidity: above 70%
- Soil: epiphyte, mounted with some sphagnum
- Propagation: seeds or keiki’s
